Welcome to Module 6 of your healing journey: healing our truths. We have crossed the bridge of the heart, bringing the lessons we have gathered in the terrestrial planes of the lower energetic centers to the celestial chakras. We have arrived at Vishuddha, the site where we release into a constant cycle of clearing and transforming sacred guidance by sound. That is by speaking, hearing, holding, and moving for inner truths. It is through giving voice and silence that we learn about sincere communication with ourselves, and others [and yes this means COMPASSIONATE BOUNDARY SETTING + keeping]. We have arrived to open up a direct channel to spirit. A channel once open, can lead to a life guided by spirit, a life living in your deserved sacredness.

Set your intention for this medicine
Add at least a quart of water in a small pot
Pray to the waters
Bring waters to a simmer
Gather + add plant ancestors on our respiratory system list + herbs that call you

Allow to sit for 10-15 mins
Place the pot on a cutting board/mitten on a table
Pull a chair up
Bring your face down towards the bowl as close to the steam you can get to
Cover your head with a blanket to keep the medicine clear + towards you

After connecting the Vishuddha/Throat Chakra handout and/or Ch 10 from Opening to Spirit, choose 1 of the following exercises to deepen with the medicine of the throat.
You are welcomed to choose a different practice a week.
It's recommended that you practice the exercise for at least an hour with the recommendation of 1 full day.

Silence
During your SILENCE practice you are welcomed to observe silence. You are invited to minimize screen use, and refrain from communication [speaking, writing notes to others, texting, emailing, etc]. You decide how severe you want to be with this practice. The intention is to reduce outside stimulation long enough to hear what lives inside you when you are not negotiating communication and other's energy through cycles of response. What lives in your silence?
Witnessing
During your WITNESSING practice, you are invited to witness OTHERS and YOURSELF with compassion, rather than judgement. Join your truest form: love to journey with you as you engage in inner dialogues and hold space for others open hearted. An open heart acknowledges that we are still in process. I am in process, you are in process, we are in process. We are practicing what it means to live a good and just life, and we are gonna fuck as we get better at it. Witness your thoughts, how you treat yourself, and how you listen to others. Bringing compassion to these moments might mean making gentle modifications in our language, our posture, or inviting our protective allies/plants/minerals/ritual to join us in dialogue.
Truth-Telling
During your TRUTH-TELLING practice, you are encouraged to cease every and all opportunities to share what's on your mind WITH YOURSELF and THOSE AROUND YOU. This looks like naming what you are feeling to yourself and those around you. Hearing, affirming, and communicating your boundaries. Speaking any truth that's living in your heart, gut, pleasure, and root as you are living it. During this practice we acknowledge that our truths are always shifting.
