what is the plant & crystal communion?
the Communion is a 4 month journey guided by natural herbs and crystals that are paired together for their energetic compatibility. you will be guided through the energy centers of the body through collective meditations and reflections. by the end of our journey, you’ll have a collection of herbal teas, glycerites [herbal extracts], and crystals that resonate with each chakra. you’ll learn more about how each plant grows and how each crystal forms, and we’ll make connections between the lives of plants and crystals and our own spiritual biographies. this series offers a way to expand our relationship with the natural world through accessible natural companions.

this offering is for Black people, Indigenous people, and people of color who are interested in learning more about herbalism and crystal healing in ways that emphasize spiritual energetics and self-healing. this is a simple, guided way to meet new plants and crystals. all levels of experience are welcome. it's important to name that this series is shaped by Amina's own Black American spiritual traditions, and this offering centers the lived experiences, histories, and knowledge of Black and Indigenous people.

I’m an artist, a medical sociologist, and an afropsychonaut living in New Orleans, Louisiana, on land kept by my Black and Indigenous ancestors. I offer plant medicine, healing crystals, and an abolition apothecary through my shop at antidoteshop.co (@antidoteshop.co).
I have pursued my study of plant medicine and crystal healing in Black American and Black Diasporic traditions. Black Americans have inherited a rich and precious spiritual legacy. I believe that we carry the keys to our liberated consciousness within us. My relationships with plants and crystals have transformed my relationship to our planet, to other people, to myself, to power. My own journey is always teaching me that our path to collective liberation is not easy, but it can and should be joyful, sensual, beautiful, and delicious. I’ve curated this offering as a series of small transformations of consciousness, as we greet natural companions on our spiritual journey. These plant and crystal pairings offer us new ways to think of ourselves, sweet new ways to honor our expansive Spirit.
