loving a broken heart [bipoc only]
the eulogy
.
we are back for our monthly loving a broken heart, a grief circle for those seeking to grieve, be held + be witnessed in community. this space is for people who are surviving and relearning to love themselves post romantic, platonic, community, city, and dream break ups.
our February circle is dedicated to
composting the cords that keep us unhealthy, we gather to cut them cords. when we enter into relation with others we create energetic threads, roots that extend from our heart to the other and back. we feed them with each meal we share, adventure, laughter, every memory we create and everything we survive together. when we no longer consent to in the flesh relationship we have another choice to make: do we keep the energetic cord/connection alive?
we get to consent to who gets our energy. sometimes we can't get people we once shared intimate [whether platonic, communal, romantic] relationship with out of our mind, heart, energetic field. sometimes this feels affirming, loving, and sometimes its just not that healthy. that connection is dead, at least for this lifetime or this moment in our journey. this circle explores these connections and offers the practice of cutting them cords for those who consent. we must release what does not serve us so something healthier can grow.
.
this is NOT a workshop, it's a grief circle. we co-create the space together. we center our relationships with each other and believe that we grow through the practice of vulnerability.
this circle will be BIPOC ONLY: open to black, indigenous, asian, pacific islander, people of color, and POC mixed peoples. centers and is facilitated by an indigequeer gender rebel.
