Booking does not necessarily mean that you will offer us funding for coming. Q: how do I apply to the rites of passage?
Thank you for your interest in gathering with SEED, ROOT + BLOOM . We are so very honored. We are taking applications between November 2018-March 2019, or until the in-person + distance learning apprenticeships fill. To apply today please visit our IN-PERSON online application or DISTANCE LEARNING online application. We will review your application and follow up with you personally regarding next steps. We will be sending out invitations from now until March 2019 welcoming you into our second cycle of Rites of Passage: Self Healer.
Q: who can apply to the rites of passage?
SEED, ROOT + BLOOM is a sacred community for and by people who are black, indigenous, and from historically racially oppressed communities who are also cis women, queer, two-spirit, genderqueer, trans women + trans men. Our circle is open to people in/from Boston and anyone excited to journey with us around the New England area for our in-person offering. At this time our journey is not open to cis men.
Q: what is the cost of the rites of passage?
Each gathering we offer up our open hearts, our open veins, our wisdom, and our physical resources. Energy is exchanged every time we gather, and every moment we work diligently with community partners to provide you with the most ancestor rooted herbalism experience. For our gathering and labor we are asking in-person $1,500-1,800; distance learning $700-1000.

- Bellx, Seed alumnae facilitation + Contributor labor for more than 150 (distance learning)/250 (in-person) gathering hours and preparation
- 1 one-on-one check-ins with Bellx/seed alumnae
- Monthly medicine making materials (dried herbs, apple cider vinegar, vodka, brandy, jars, etc) (in-person)
- Print-outs offered throughout the class
- Growing materials + plant friends (in-person)
Q: are their payment plan + scholarships available?
YES! We will work with you where you are at! Our application offers you the opportunity to share your financial situation, if you can please share how we can support you.

Work-trade will allow us to share and support each other, where you offer a skill set or specific time to labor on a project that supports SEED, ROOT, + BLOOM. Seed scholarships offer the community the opportunity to financially support you.
